The Foundation Stage children have loved exploring traditional tales and particularly enjoyed the story Little Red Hen. They were interested in the processes involved in making bread, so we took some wheat and used a pestle and mortar to grind the grains into flour. We explored how farmers use machinery to make the processes quicker and easier. We learnt a short song about farming that the children wanted to share with everyone.
