STEM EVENT

STEM EVENT

Children in Years 4 and 5 recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in an EKO STEM workshop, an initiative designed to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm for the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Led by STEM Ambassador Nic Hughes and fully funded by the Ministry of Defence, this event aimed to inspire a more diverse range of young people to consider future careers within the UK’s thriving STEM industries.

Throughout the sessions, students took part in hands-on, collaborative problem-solving activities. These activities encourage teamwork, critical thinking and creativity, helping students to develop essential skills while having fun exploring real-world STEM applications. To celebrate the students’ participation and contributions, ‘EKO’-branded prizes were awarded. Special emphasis was placed on rewarding strong engagement, collaboration, and innovative thinking.

The children had a glimpse into the exciting possibilities that STEM careers can offer.
